You may know the 2 year PAP is gone, but have you heard about 'at-home' cervical screening tests?

We know that when it comes to taking preventative care of your health, simplicity and convenience matter. Which is why we're thrilled to introduce our telehealth service for the 5 year Cervical Screening Tests (CST), now available for self-collection in the comfort and privacy of your home.

Why Change the Cervical Screening Test?

In Australia, we can now offer you the option to collect your own sample for the Cervical Screening Test, similar to the familiar process of a Covid PCR test. This self-collected sample is carefully examined for Human Papillomavirus (HPV), which is a prevalent sexually transmitted infection (STI) responsible for nearly all cervical cancer cases.

Taking Control of Your Health

If you qualify and are interested in self-collection, our telehealth General Practitioners are here to guide you every step of the way. They will assess your eligibility, send you a test request form, and provide easy-to-follow instructions on the process.

The Best Part?

No need to visit a clinic in person; you can do it all from the comfort of your home or from the pathology lab where you'll pick up your testing kit if you prefer?

Reliable Results, Your Peace of Mind

You might wonder if self-collection is as reliable as traditional methods. Research assures us that a Cervical Screening Test using a self-collected vaginal sample delivers dependable results with accuracy in HPV detection comparable to a sample obtained by a clinician during a speculum examination.

Why It Matters

Every year, around 800 women in Australia receive a cervical cancer diagnosis. Shockingly, roughly 70% of these cases affect individuals who have either never undergone screening or have fallen behind on their screenings. This highlights the importance of taking proactive steps to protect your health.

We understand that many women's health examinations and procedures can be uncomfortable for some, but this new way of testing removes much of that concern.

Essentially, if you can insert a tampon, you can do this sample collection, and our Women's Health GPs are here to support you all the way.

If you've never done a test or you're way overdue, let's get this done and make sure that this preventable cancer doesn't make you a statistic!

We are committed to providing accessible and effective healthcare solutions for all Australian women. If you have any questions or need more information, please feel free to reach out.
